#10 - TV Station Voiceover Narrator
The
voiceover narrator begins his workday parking his tush in a cushioned
Lazyboy waiting to read a 30 second TV commercial script.
Typically, after an hour, maybe longer, a runner delivers a piece of paper containing a script written by someone in the creative department.
The narrator scans his assigned copy and brings the script to life by reading the provided lines into a hugely expensive microphone. His performance is recorded and edited to fit a 29.5 second commercial. He then hands the fiinished product off to a production representative.
Total time from start to finish: 20 minutes.
The narrator then kicks back, reads the daily news, or shoots the breeze with whomever walks his way, awaiting the next script that may be minutes away or hours in coming.
This user-friendly process can be repeated many times within his workday, but he may also enjoy many days where no scripts come his way.
Average pay: $45,000-$150,000/year, depending on the size of the television station.
A dream job envied by many; alas, enjoyed by precious few.

#9 Drawbridge Operator
I
grew up in an area located just 50 miles west of the Gulf of Mexico.
Inlet waterways, rivers and canals provided a need for many bridges . . .
most of them were drawbridges.
I was attracted to these architectual wonders as a moth to flame, and was lucky enough to stumble on to a drawbridge operator who befriended this wide-eyed, naive, 12 year old kid. The operator worked the day shift, and most weekends.
I spent many Saturdays inside the bridge tower, all the while observing this man do absolutely nothing 95% of the time. When a ship or barge was within eyesight, he would receive a two-way communication alerting him to begin opening the drawbridge.
The process was so easy, I learned the button-pushing sequence after watching only 2 times. I quickly gained his confidence and under his watchful eye, I actually opened and closed that drawbridge many times . . . a huge thrill for a 12 year old kid!
The demand for drawbridge operators is as scarce as hen's teeth, but it earns a spot among the other 9 easy jobs.

#8 Pro Golfer
Can you imagine any job better than being paid millions to play a game you love?
The adoring fans, endorsements, first-class treatment, TV noteriety and large paychecks give this profession a spot on the list. Golf is a sport where injuries come rarely, and that's why I included this sport over football or basketball, where injuries are the norm.
Once a pro golfer's swing is grooved, he or she is practically guaranteed a larger, weekly paycheck most non-golfing workers will earn over a 10 year career span! Easy jobs do exist--although rare, one of the easiest is found on the PGA Golf Tour.

#7 Cover Band Musician
Male musicians enter the professional musician ranks for 1 reason--only . . . To score with women.
Women are attracted to a man who can expertly play an instrument or sing like Peter Cetera, and young musicians who join a band quickly discover the truth in this fact of life on the stage.
The amount of money made, although important, takes a back seat to the 'opposite sex attraction perk'.
The average professional musician is a night owl, hitting his pillow for sleep needs when the sun comes up. Easy job? Oh yeh!

#6 Professional Texas Hold 'em Gambler
What
if your "job" provided opportunities to work only when you so desired,
the surroundings were ultra-posh to the point of being opulent, and you
could literally become an overnight sensation earning millions of
dollars every year?
Become a successful, professional Texas Hold 'em gambler, and these work conditions will be your norm.
Thanks to massive TV coverage, Texas Hold 'em has become the most viewed and often-played game in the gambling world. This job made the easy list, but years of study and practice are required to be a successful Hold 'em gambler.
Once a gambler masters this required learning curve, his/her chances of earning a massive lifetime income become not only possiible, but, in the long run, probable.
This easy job requires no heavy lifting, other than carrying home crystal trophies and heavy paychecks.

#5 Librarian
OK,
this position does not qualify to be listed in the most exciting jobs
in the world, but it definitely is an easy job. (I know I will get a
page filled with disagreement and semi-obscenities from librarians when
their eyes meet with this copy. ...)
If one knows the Dewey Decimal System and is able to place the index finger in front of a pair of pursed lips indicating "Quiet, Please", then the basic qualifications are met for Librarian status.
A college degree is generally required, and positions are available in public libraries, and in public and private schools of all sizes and grade levels.
Pay ranges from an average start of $54,000--up.
If one enjoys a VERY quiet working environment, this profession is most definitely easy!

#4 Refinery Operator
A
refinery operator's work area, unlike the Texas Hold 'em gambler's
surroundings, does not fit the bill for opulence . . . far from it!
These people work inside oil refineries and chemical plants, housed in
what's known as a shelter and/or control room.
Normally, an operator enters a 4 year training program. He/she is tested throughout this time, advancing in rank and pay as they pass rigorous testing in safety and plant or refinery process knowledge.
Operators are paid handsomely, and 95% of their time is spent using creative stunts like practical joking, filling in football squares or spinning tall tails for 11 of a 12 hour shift. The other 5% of their working life is filled applying knowledge to problems in the field.
This entails turning valves, "lining up" for start-ups, minor mechanical repairs, clean-up, routine walk-throughs watching for spills or otherwise unusual activity and keeping current with changes.
Although the work surroundings are less than ideal, an operator position is mostly easy and within their shift work scheduling, operators receive a monthly, 7 day paid break in addition to accrued vacation time!

#3 Beauty Salon Appointment Secretary
One would be hard pressed to think of an easiier job.
A pleasant phone voice, the ablity to write numbers and a nice smile are the qualifications needed to fill this position.
The downside to this easy job is the reality of boredom.
Picture, sitting all day basically waiting for the phone to ring. In between phone calls, this person greets customers as they arrive for their scheduled appointments. Day in and day out, these mundane activities, although extremely easy, may become tedious. The saving grace is a daily interaction with different people of all ages and backgrounds.
